Hazelnuts (Corylus avellana) is native to Europe and Western Asia, the term “avellana” derives from the Latin “abellana”, from Avellino, due to the richness of hazelnuts in the territory of this city in Italy. Our Organic Hazelnut Proteins can be made from raw, lightly roasted or roasted hazelnut quality. Due to its high protein and low-fat content, the product is more stable to oxidation than a traditional hazelnut flour. The residual lipids content contains high percentages of Omega 9 fatty acids that are protective for the heart.
